This weekend, I was soooo excited to start moving our stuff into our condo. Decorating my own place has always been something I've dreamed of doing! And having Karl living there with me?? It couldn't get any better. So we employed my (not so little) little brother Keaton to help Karl with all the heavy furniture, and my dream became a reality! I was having so much imagining what would go where and what I could create to decorate over there...... Well. During all the excitement, we were unaware there was a thief on the loose! When we were finished unloading and assembling, we returned to the car to go get another load from my house when we realized both our phones had been stolen!
Our phones are in that box....
Some idiot had the nerve to ruin my dreamy day!! Karl has a gps thingy on his phone that is supposed to let him track it down when it's stolen, but we weren't dealing with amateurs here. They must have been blocking it somehow. After an hour or so with detective Karl, we decided to accept that our phones were gone forever.
The rest of our day was spent at the T Mobile store working with an impossible employee who was only making matters worse, and craig's list.
We've replaced Karl's phone, and we are still working on getting mine. Until then, I am using a pay as you go phone that has not restored my original number yet. So FYI for all you people trying to get a hold of me since I'm so popular... jk. When I do get my original number back, I still wont have any of my contacts though.
Although what happened on my dreamy day was super lame, It could have been a lot worse. They could have taken Karl's wallet which was inches from our phones, or worse... our kites in the back seat! haha I think this was really just an eye opener for us. Even though I'm just a couple miles from home, It's a completely different atmosphere, and I'll have to be extra careful.

That sucks! Sorry people are so lame. Since i bought my house (which I LOVE to decorate over and over again) I got a bunch of dead bolts.
Congratulations on handling your first burglary like a champ!
Be careful in da' hood!

So it's not just a Mooney thing. How encouraging. Sorrys Sis. I'm so glad it wasn't your car or wallet. We Mooney's have experienced it all. Love you.
