It's In Her Sole.

As long as I can remember, Kristi Lee has had an obsession with shoes! When she could only say a few words, "Shoooe" was definitely one of them. She loves all shoes, but it seems as of late she is drawn to high heels. The taller the better. When my aunt, Julie, brought little Kristi along with her 4 boys to come see our new home, it wasn't long before Kristi had found the closet and all my shoes. After trying a on few pairs, she decided she liked these the best.

I think she walks better in them than I do! A couple more years and she'll be ready for the runway!

let's get down to business.

So this whole getting married business and being bored all summer has caused me to become an entrepreneur.

As my faithful blog followers, it is your duty to support me by checking out my new blogs.

The first is The Owl Tree. I have been making hair flowers/headbands, and I have decided to sell them! That's right. Imagine one of these on your head!

Next is K & K Photography. Karl and I have been doing photo shoots together, and it has been so fun! So we are starting our own little side project. Here is a preview of our most recent shoot. I would also like to point out the hair flower Jamie is wearing was purchased from yours truly at The Owl Tree.

So visit the new blogs and keep your eye out for Owl Tree's upcoming giveaway!

My Hero.

Today marks 2 months of blissful marriage to Mr. Reed. It would only be natural for us to have our first spider experience today.

I warned Karl before we were married that he would have to kill bugs for me. I can come up with clever ways to trap the bug, but beyond that point I am too much of a girl. This afternoon, as I was cleaning up our little home, I turned around only to find a giant killer spider charging towards my foot with its 8 gross legs! My first response was to, of course, scream. Second- call Karl's name. I halfway was aware that Karl was actually at work and would be for another couple hours, but when I became fully aware, I knew it was up to me to trap the beast. I quickly did a few circles while standing in place looking for something to contain the spider until my brave husband would be home. I then came up with a brilliant strategy. I ran to the kitchen and grabbed a cup which I used as a forcefield to confine the spider. I then went about my business, casually glancing at the cup every few minutes to make sure it hadn't lifted the cup with its super strength legs or bitten through the glass with it's powerful fangs! (Do spiders have fangs?) When Karl came home, he calmly took the spiders downstairs and released it into the grass. Good teamwork, babe. I knew I was supposed to marry him.

Chad and Anais Got Married!!

This weekend, Karl and I had the opportunity to photograph our friend Anais' beach themed reception! Here is a sneak peak!

I have only edited a few pictures, but I would like to point out that these next two were taken by Karl and they are probably my favorites! I LOVE having an assistant!

Congrats Chad and Anais. More pics to come!

I'll Design it!

No more cutting and taping! I can do it all digital! If you need anything from baby or wedding announcements, Christmas cards, birthday invitations, or maybe just a fun collage! I can do it all in photoshop! They can be single-sided, double-sided, whatever you need! Let me know if you're interested! Here are some samples I have previously made.

*I also took all these pictures! (Besides the ones I am in, of course). Let me know if you need a photographer!

Happy Birthday Garrison!!!

I love this little face so much! Garrison is the baby of our family, but he is actually the one that takes care of everyone else! As soon as you are sick, he's the first to bring you a piece of toast and ask what movie you want him to turn on for you. He's also the best scorpion hunter and chef in the land. He is also known to be kind and thoughtful. Example. On my 20th birthday, I was presented with this beauty...

(No frosting? No problem. Garrison knows where we keep the food coloring!)

AND he made me the cutest little card that had 20 reasons why he's glad I'm his sister. It's much better with his handwriting and spelling.. but I'll give you the list.
1. You're fun
2. You're funny
3. You are smart and have good ideas.
4. cause
5. You help me when I need
6. You cheer me up
7. You love me
8 . Good photographer
9. Stays up with me when I'm scared
10. You play the wii with me and Jake
11. You're nice
12. You're active
13. is good at picking out boyfriends
14. You drive me where I need to do
15. You buy fun movies
(no 16...)
17. You make good dinner
18. Helps Dad feel better
19. Helps Mom when she's sick
20. I'm your favorite brother and I love you being in my family
I think my favorite reasons are 4 and 13. haha

He is always silly and fun to be around!

I have now had 13 years of fun with little red.

My funniest memory with Garrison-
One night, for some reason, I was chasing him. We were both running down the hallway about to enter the kitchen/family room area full of people. Garrison made the mistake of wearing some baggy sweat pants that night. So just as we were about to run into the kitchen, I stopped and stepped on the bottom of his pants. Little Garrison then flew completely horizontal through the air, out of his pants, and on to the kitchen floor. I think we all peed a little bit from laughing so hard.
I love you, G. Happy Birthday!!

4th of July!

I don't know why, but ever since I got engaged, I couldn't wait for 4th of July!! I just thought it would be the funnest day ever to spend with my husband! And guess what... it was!!!! Friday night, we drove up past Strawberry and camped at a place near Kehl Springs.

We camped here under the amazing stars! I had never seen so many before, and they all looked so close!
And we woke up to this! It was such a pretty view.
Karl camped here a lot growing up, so we hiked around a lot so he could show me all the cool places he had found over the years. I almost stepped on this little guy!
hahaha
Remember that ax I told you about? That's my man. He taught me how to chop wood this trip.
We took a secret road into a nice shadey part of the woods and made breakfast burritos!

Then we found the Reed's Aspen Groves. Karl's family has been carving their names into these trees for decades! And all the kids come back to add their spouses/kids names. I was told I wasn't an official member of the family until my name was on a tree. So it's for real now guys... I'm a Reed.

We found Karl's older brother's tree. This is what ours will look like in a few years!
After some more exploring and antique shopping in Pine, we headed to my grandparents house in Heber. It was fun being able to spend time with them! Not to mention their bathroom... Later that night, we met up with our good friends the Reidheads for some BBQ. Then we walked down to the fields for fireworks!! My family used to go to Heber fireworks every year. They have the greatest fireworks show ever!

I think 4th of July in Heber will be one of the first traditions our little family establishes. It seriously was one of the funnest weekends since we've been married. I love Karl so much. Sometimes I just think I'm going to burst with happiness! I love being able to take trips with him and not having to say goodbye at night. I feel so safe and comfortable with him. (even if there are spiders all over the place!) I love every minute with Karl, and I can't wait for what our future has in store for us.
