It's that time of year again!!

Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE this time of year. Just the thought of fall/Christmas and all the decorations makes me so happy and excited I nearly tear up. Seriously. As you can see from a previous post done by my mom here, I don't waste any time! (You'll notice that post was made in October!) I've already had the few fall decorations Karl and I have set up in our little place for a couple of weeks. And last week, a Christmas song came on shuffle on my ipod and I wasn't strong enough to hit 'next'. I sang along to every word and have since been infected. I just love this time of year so much I have a hard time keeping the different holidays separate! However, unlike in years past, instead of having family/friends and employers tell me I'm crazy and say I'm not allowed to listen to Christmas music in the office until after Halloween... I now have a husband that shares my love and uncontrolled excitement for the season! Instead of turning the Christmas music off in September... He smiles and sings along!
When Karl and I first started hanging out, we discovered our shared love for EVERYTHING about this time of year. We sort of jokingly made a list of awesome things to do in the winter to have the best Christmas ever. I should have known right then I'd marry him. Now that we are married, I think it really will be the best Christmas ever! I'm so excited to share my family's traditions with him and to be a part of my new family's traditions as well. And if everything goes according to plan... We may be spending our first Christmas together in our first HOUSE!! (girly squeals of excitement)
It's almost October and then it's officially THE season! Now all we have to do is find that list!

You're coming, right?

It's a basement boutique. I would be going even if I wasn't one of the vendors. Pretty much it is going to be the greatest thing... ever. My sister in law and a new neighborhood friend are the queens of vintageness. I can't wait to see what they are selling. And, like I said, I will be there selling some of my homemade hair accessories/home decor. It's going to be stellar! So... COME!

Sarah Reed!

This little beauty is one of my new sister-in-laws! She is certainly growing up, so it was time to get her picture taken! We just did it in the Reed's yard, but it was a lot of fun. This is my favorite one from the shoot. It just says "autumn" to me. Which I am SO excited for! Bring on the winter clothes! (I know it will still be months before it's semi-cold. Let me dream.)

See more of my little sis here!

Saturday with Karl.

I LOOOVE Saturday's with Karl. No work... No school.... No work or school the next day. It's perfect. This Saturday, Karl took me to this place for breakfast called Over Easy in Phoenix. It was the cutest little place with way good food!

After breakfast... Karl was kind enough to explore an antique mall we saw while driving! It was the coolest place. Ever. The store has several different vendors so there is a huge variety of vintage treasures. As you can see by this picture of me in a lovely fur coat. (sick)
Here's Karl being a trooper and holding my purse in the most manly way possible. He really wasn't unhappy to be there. He just didn't want there to be evidence that he enjoys antique shopping with me!
The best part of the whole day... perhaps the whole week! Dare I say month? Was me stumbling upon this typewriter! I have been searching and searching but every time I find one it is waaay too pricey. But I found this beauty for $30! I still squeal a little each time I look at it.

After antique shopping.... it was time for Karl shopping...
He took me to this Asian market to get ingredients to make me a dish he used to make during his mission in the Philippines.

Here are some disgusting live fish. This, combined with the raw octopuses, put me over the edge, and I was a little more than eager to get out of there!
But they did have some really cool fruits and vegetables!

The drive home was pleasant as we played with these lip-whistles generously given to us by my momma.
The rest of the day was spent eating Costa Vida and hanging out with my family.
I love Saturdays with Karl!

New Designs!

My aunt, Julie, Is pretty awesome. One of the most awesome people I know. So of course she would be planning the funnest little birthday party for her daughter, Kristi Lee, at the same time she is throwing a baby shower for her friend! She came to me asking for help with her awesomeness. So I designed these invitations for her!

They look a lot cuter with out the black lines going through them...but I have to be cautious of all those creepsters out there. Stop looking at my blog creepsters.
