and so it begins....

Alright..... slight panic. Fotos by Flint has always been good to me. But 'me' has always been a young girl who lives at home with pretty much no bills. 'Me' will now be a married girl with a million bills and an extremely tight budget. This summer will be particularly slow. Unemployment probably isn't my ideal way to start my new life with Mr. Reed. SO... if anyone knows of anything.... please let me know!!!

A million bills? Dear, dear, Kacey. You are both debt free! Mr. Reed has just scored a sweet job and having a slow summer at your job might be the best present you will be able to give Mr. Reed in a long time. You'll be fine. Just enjoy it and try to pick up some photo shoots on the side. The super busy season is just around the corner.

But I'm lovin' your work ethic!

Funny thing is that young, true love (my new interest apparently)will make you feel richer than ever...you will be eating ramen noodles and drinking Big K soda but you just won't care as long as "Mr. Reed" is eating and drinking it right along side you. We've all been there, done that and it has only made us stronger together. Next thing you know- you will be ready to conquer parenthood togther too! Enjoy being broke together, it really isn't all that bad!

PS- I want so badly to be one of those side jobs your mom mentioned in her comment, I swear as soon as I am able, I will be booking a photo shoot- I promise!

Kacey, no worry, remember being poor is the cool thing to do. Your bills won't be too bad. Pay your tithing and by the end of each month when you have to pay bills, you WILL have the money. Promise. Live cheap just like Erin said...become a crazy couponer. haha. jk. love ya.

I see that your mom said you guys are both debt free. Let me tell you, there is NO better way to start your marriage than to not have to worry about, or stress about clearing debt. Honestly. When Justin and I got married, he had no debt, I had 2 credit cards and a car that I was paying on. It was hard! But we have gotten through it and are almost 100% debt free now. And let me tell you, there is less and less stress every month when we make those payments.
My advice to you right now though, that we really regret. When we were dating/engaged, I have no idea how many time we went to the movies, or went out to dinner. It's really sickening to think about it. So my advice is to do as much "free" stuff as you can. Make dinner at someone's house. Rent a $1 Redbox movie. Justin and I do like $5 date nights all the time. We get a $1 movie, get a snack and like a frozen pizza. It's awesome! We love it!
We've been there with stressing over money and loosing a job, so I completely understand. Good thing you guys know now, so you can prepare for what is to come.
Sorry for the novel, but I hope it helps.
